7th grade hoosiers made a statement this weekend. We beat some very good teams in OBC who was very athletic and will be a tough out, Cincy Lakers who have a great team and great player, D1 greyhounds who are well coached and talented and the Elite Cavs(2009 National camps) who are always tough and ready to fight hard. We had many tough battles but we were able to go undefeated and meet the Elite Cavs back in the title game. throughout the tourney we had players step up in many games. Vijay Blackmon, Chris Evans, Jordan Walker and Dujuan Thompson all brought energy and steady guard play . We were unable to be pressured out of our comfort zone. Dickison and Shepeard were instrumental with interior defense and rebounding. Gordon (missed 1.5 games), Scruggs and Jackson did great job of carrying the team with support of the other 6. They all rebounded and scored at very high level. Jackson also tallied over 30 block shots in tourney. Scruggs lead us in scoring in Gordons absence and Gordon lead us in Champ game with 32 pts. We showed that we are a complete TEAM once again. Great job 7th gr.
